Product description:
When depressing the brake pedal hard, you may notice the firewall flexing, resulting in slightly more pedal travel. By installing this lightweight brake master cylinder brace can prevent this flexing at the firewall where the brake master cylinder is mounted, providing a more precise and direct brake pedal feel.
Will fit Good Win Racing strut tower brace.
Weight: 0.8lb
Installation instruction:
Item will be come with another two m10x1.25 nuts to replace the factory nuts because the factory nuts don’t have threads in the bottom thus they won’t have enough threads to engage with the strut tower studs if you are using the Good Win Racing strut tower brace, the two new nuts will fix this problem. If you are not using a strut tower brace or the factory STB, when you install it, torque them down to factory torque spec which is 37-43 ft lbs, the mounting bracket will deform and seat.
1. Adjust the black piece first to achieve a good and even contact with the master cylinder surface without pressure.
2. use a allen key to hold the gold bolt, at the meantime, tight the flange nut to lock the gold bolt in position.
3. hand tight the black piece against the master cylinder surface until you cannot turn it any more.
4. gently tight the jam nut to lock the black piece in position, should be no more than 5 ft lb.
If you have Good Win Racing strut tower brace, you will need to unplug the ECU connector to fit in the brake master cylinder brace, then plug it back in.
The last photo in the post is how the spherical washers are assembled, follow the same order, it will allow the cylinder brace and master cylinder have a solid and parallel contact.
